So far so good for Safe keeping.

Yes, I had to sun and dry out hundreds of dollars that started to smell, from my safe. Don't believe the feds that banks will take the money (they will if it runs through the counter). There's a special packaging that once recieved after you request it from the bank, then the bank will replace the cash. Having said that I do not have an ideal temperature controlled room for a safe as it easily fluctuates within 20 degrees. Though I did air out the safe weekly it failed to keep the moisture out. Having a silica get dehumidifier that changes color and can be rejuvinated makes the best fix. Got my fingers crossed on this one. I'll let you know if I find different.

Used for keeping my #D printer filament dry and moisture free

I put one of these in a special bag that I use to keep each filament color for my 3D printer moisture-free. I seal one of these cartridges in the bag with the filament and pump out the air from the bag. These keep the filament moisture-free and easy to use in my 3d printer. Without them, the filament will absorb moisture from the air and become brittle and not flexible enough to use for 3D printing.

Moisture absorbing

These work well. The first time I put one in each of my cans and check them a week later and they were all green so I recharged them in the oven 250° for three hours they turned orange signifying, they are dried, put them back in the cans and it’s been several weeks and they are still not green completely yet. so after the initial drying out and reinsertion, I’d say these things are excellent at doing exactly what you want them to do pull moisture out of the air and cardboard boxes your goodies come in. Would definitely recommend for all ammo can.

Not large enough

Too small to be effective for most gun safes. Have to use 3 or 4 to be effective

Used these in military ammo cans

Ammunition should be kept dry and surplus military ammo cans are great for doing so. Including one of these in each can is an extra added precaution.
